Welcome in spring with The City of Lake Forest and Lake Forest Open Lands !
Starting on Saturday , June 17 , the 7th Annual Open Air Market will relocate to its new location , historic Market Square and will be open every Saturday through October from 8 a . m . -1 p . m . The Open Air Market will feature select farmers and vendors alongside “ brick and mortar ” businesses to enhance this great Saturday Lake Forest tradition . Market favorites such as Michigan Churchill Fruit Farms , Twin Garden Farms , Alden Hills Organic Farm and Mill Road Farms will join locals Amidei Mercantino , Pasquesi ’ s Home & Garden and The Daily Grind , offering fresh fruit , local vegetables , meat , eggs , and poultry . Enjoy strolling around Market Square will easy access to local stores while shopping for gifts , dining , or joining your friends and neighbors for coffee .
Other vendors include Food Share Food , Apple Holler , The Plant Kid , Caputo ’ s , Homemade Gnocchi , and Organic Popcorn . New to the Market this year : elegant desserts and appetizers to add to your Saturday dinner menu .
Over 15 varieties of trees will be available below retail cost including six different species of oaks as well as hard to find native trees and shrubs . In addition , over 100 native plants will be available to purchase .
The proceeds from the Sale have allowed the City and Open Lands to plant hundreds of native trees and shrubs in our nature preserves . Pre-orders are encouraged online at lfola . org .
