manager, with

overseeing the

Olympic Park. She began her career as a
Welcomer at Pullman Sydney Olympic
Park in 2010 before undertaking the
Group’s executive leaders program. Kate Drury

following the
departure of
Emma Searle
who left to
move to London. Drury brings over 17
years’ experience in the fields of
advertising, design and marketing
communications, and has her own
consultancy business in Auckland.

officer in the

Africa (AMEA) region. His previous role
was senior vice president, acquisitions

Hotels & Resorts.

in Sydney has
appointed
Nigel Myers
as their new
business
development
manager. He
has previously
worked in management positions at a
range of Sydney hotels including
Pullman Hyde Park, Travelodge and
Stamford Plaza Sydney Airport. AccorHotels
has appointed
Louise Daley
as deputy
CEO Asia
Pacific. She
has been with
AccorHotels
for 26 years,
and was most
recently executive vice president and
chief financial officer, Asia Pacific. AccorHotels
has appointed
Gillian Millar
(pictured) as
the new
senior vice
president,
New Zealand,
Fiji and
French
Polynesia. Previously vice president
operations Western Australia, she
replaces Chris Sedgwick.
Chanelle Du Rand has joined the Rutherford Hotel, Nelson as the
conference and events sales manager. She has recently moved to
New Zealand from Johannesburg where she has worked in 5-star
hotels in hotel operations, events and catering management. Marriott International has appointed Alethea Lam as vice
president, communications for Asia Pacific, based in Hong Kong.
Prior to this she was director of corporate communications for
Starwood Hotels & Resorts Asia Pacific, based in Singapore.
InterContinental Hotels Group has appointed Chris Waite as director of
communications, Australasia and Japan. Prior to his appointment, he led
Amadeus Asia Pacific communications team headquartered in Bangkok. Mantra Group has appointed Andrew McTaggart as development
manager. He has experience in hotel operations, finance,
development and acquisitions after many years at AccorHotels.
