Event travel in South East Queensland (SEQ)
has received an overhaul in recent months with
TransLink’s go Event card going live.
From only $12, the new go Event card provides
delegates with three days unlimited travel on all
TransLink bus, train, ferry and tram services across
Brisbane, the Gold Coast and Sunshine Coast.
It gives event and conference organisers an
affordable way to add extra value to their delegate
packages, while at the same time providing
delegates an easy and hassle free way to get from
their accommodation to the event venue.
Event organisers only need to order a minimum of
50 cards, and can add up to eight additional days
from only $4 per day.
TransLink’s business development manager, George Chemali, says he’d been encouraged by
the response from event organisers since the card launched.
“We’ve received a lot of interest from event organisers keen to include go Event in their
packages for events later this year and next year,” he says. “This is a unique product in SEQ
and we’re expecting it to entice event organisers to host their events in SEQ.
“Event delegates can travel stress free across SEQ without having to worry about putting
money on their go Event card.
“TransLink also offers travel support through the MyTransLink app and TransLink website
which feature real-time travel information and a 24/7 contact centre, which
is available to answer any questions a delegate might have.”
To date TransLink has already sold over 6500 cards which equals approximately 25,000
delegate travel days.
