leadership transition at this meeting as Dr. Brian Ford is installed as our new Executive Director. Brian was elected this past year as our Executive Director-Elect. Brian has been working with me for the past several months as we provide a smooth leadership transition for our network. Dr. Brian Kaylor, our Generational Engagement Team Leader and the longest tenured member of our staff, was also elected to serve as Associate Director of Churchnet. Both men bring incredible gifts and training to these new leadership roles. I could not be more pleased with this transition or more confident in the future of ministry.
I will be retiring as Executive Director
following this Spring Event and Brian
Ford will assume his new role as our
leader on May 1. But I plan to stay
involved and supportive of the
ministry of Churchnet. The Board of
Directors recently approved a new
model for our Churchnet events. We
will have a spring event focused on
Missions Collaboration and Hope-
Filled Strategies. We will have a fall
event (September 29, 2017) focused on
Generational Engagement and
Community Involvement. I hope you
will plan to join us on April 21, 2017 at
Parkade Baptist Church for New
Morning. We will begin with a series of
Workshops in the afternoon followed
by a brief Annual Business Session.
The evening session will feature our
Annual Missions Banquet and a
Worship Service where Brian Ford will
be installed as our new Executive
Director. I hope you will make plans to
be present.
