Château Frontenac
Québec City’s Château Frontenac just underwent a
$75 million renovation, which preserved the iconic
hotel but has given it a fresh update and feeling.
The renovation and restoration preserved signature
pieces and historic details, while maintaining the
majestic atmosphere. In the reception area are large
blue onyx back lit panels, inspired by the beautiful
St. Lawrence River, and the Rose grand staircase’s
15-foot chandelier made from slender pieces of
glass are reminiscent of the icicles that form during
Québec’s winters.
