I wanted to showcase the versatility and diversity of this era, Coverperhaps Shoot inspiring today’s woman to either rediscover or try a retro hairstyle that still very much works in modern fashion. To help blow out Taylor’s natural curly frizzy hair, I applied DryBar Velvet Hammer hydrating control cream...and when I wanted to add some texture and grit back into her hair I used DryBar Mai Tai sea salt spray. Throughout the shoot I used DryBar Triple sec 3 in 1 (texturizer, volumizer, and refresher) to continue giving volume and texture. I loved creating silky smooth long locks (inspired by the iconic Cher), adding waves, curls, and feathering (as donned by the beautiful Farrah Fawcett) and sculpting a larger than life blonde Afro (a nod to the stunning Diana Ross). For Ashley’s hair I wanted to add shine and give a smooth blowout, that’s why I used DryBar Velvet Hammer hydrating control cream. To give her roots some boost I added DryBar So. Belle volumizing moose. A great little secret is DryBar Sparkling Soda Shine Mist, it keeps her hair sleek but not weighed down and finally to help add curl and texture to Ashley’s hair from look to look I used DryBar Money Maker medium hold hairspray.
