Who are your inspirations? (As in other artists)
I have many sources of inspiration. I of course grew up listening to
Mariah Carey and Whitney Houston and would sing along to their songs
learning how to use my vocal range and do vocal runs. I also grew up
listening to opera and other types of music from Canadian artists and international singers such as Eros Ramazzotti. I love all sorts of music from
country to rock, dance, rap and classical. Lately, for me, it is more about
songs, performances and how they make me feel rather than artists. I love
Rachel Yamagata’s “Only fault” and Alex and Sierra’s version of “Gravity”.
Who are your favorite bands/singers?
I really enjoy listening to tracks from Muse, Lana Del Rey and Adele.
What else can we expect from you in the future?
Who knows! I am not even sure where I’ll be heading next myself. That is
what is so great about music; it is that my next songs will be inspired by
my life, as I will write them. Let’s just say that right now the love of my
life, my 5-month-old daughter Gemma, is my biggest inspiration.
Any celeb crushes?
I’ve been crushing on Christian Bale for years! I think that Joe Manganiello’s looks and the humorous characters he plays are also quite sexy.
What kind of music do you listen to today?
I love listening to ballads, I always have. It takes me to a very emotional
place, which I love. I also been mainly singing and listening to cool tracks
such as “itsy bitsy spider” and “twinkle twinkle little star” lol
What embarrassing songs might I find on your MP3 player?
I love old 80’s rock, so you’ll find plenty of that on my MP3 player, not
that I feel that it is embarrassing. It only is when I am in the car singing
them at the top of my lungs and another car pulls over next to me and
catches me doing so... lol
Where would you most like to perform?
I would love to perform somewhere warm on a beach at night with tons
of lights and a fun party atmosphere such as IBIZA.
Fave colour?
Navy blue.
If you could dabble in another genre of music, what would it be?
I am not sure, I have already done pop rock, pop dance and pop r&b so
perhaps opera or country music would be interesting to tackle.
Any secret cravings?
Oh so many... I am a sugar junky!!! Lol I love homemade “sugar cream”
and “Croquettes” by Vachon. I am really bad with those, if I buy them I
go through the box in no time...
