During lunch, the two girls briefly get to know one another and discuss not feeling at home in Toronto, since there is nothing in the city exciting enough to ground them. They talk about how fun it would be to do something fashion-related together. After lunch Ang offers Vava a ride home, and on their way down Queen Street sees a tiny “For Rent” sign in a small store window. “Stop the car!” Vava exclaims. They pull over and call the number. The retail space is available. Before Vava can finish her sentence, Ang says, “Let’s do it!” Fast forward four years and these powerhou ses run one of the most successful fashion boutiques on Queen Street West.
