MEET COUNCIL TAX RATE TARGETS PROVIDING VALUE AND RESPECTING HARD-EARNED TAXPAYER DOLLARS THE CITY OF VAUGHAN is committed to putting citizens first through Service Excellence and delivering high-quality programs and services. Vaughan continues to have one of the lowest property tax rates in the GTA and provides residents with value for their tax dollars. The quality of life of the citizens of Vaughan is very important. That is why the 2016 budget met Council’s direction to not raise property taxes by more than three per cent each year in this Term of Council. The budget also saw $14 million in savings and commits work on more than 700 capital projects.
