MEET COUNCIL TAX RATE TARGETS
PROVIDING VALUE AND RESPECTING
HARD-EARNED TAXPAYER DOLLARS
THE CITY OF VAUGHAN is committed to putting citizens first through Service
Excellence and delivering high-quality programs and services. Vaughan continues to
have one of the lowest property tax rates in the GTA and provides residents with value
for their tax dollars.
The quality of life of the citizens of Vaughan is very important. That is why the 2016 budget
met Council’s direction to not raise property taxes by more than three per cent each year
in this Term of Council. The budget also saw $14 million in savings and commits work on
more than 700 capital projects.
