DELIVERING SERVICE Welcome to the Momentum Report – a publication that highlights the progress Vaughan Council has made on its strategic goals. In 2015, the City enhanced its approach to Service Excellence with the introduction of the Service Excellence Strategy Map. It clearly puts the focus on delivering Service Excellence to citizens and businesses to ensure the entire organization uses a consistent approach. This direction also includes the alignment of the City’s budget with the priorities and - Mayor Maurizio Bevilacqua TERM OF COUNCIL PRIORITIES • Improve municipal road network • Attract investment and create jobs • Continue to develop transit, cycling and pedestrian options to get around the City • Create and manage affordable housing options (secondary suites) • Facilitate the development of the VMC • Continue to cultivate an environmentally sustainable city • Support the development of the hospital • Re-establish the urban tree canopy • Invest, renew and manage infrastructure and assets • Continue to ensure the safety and well-being of citizens • Update the Official Plan and supporting studies MOMENTUM REPORT 2015 / 2016 The Service Excellence Strategy Map outlines the plan and how the City will achieve its goals. At the top of the map are the priorities for this Term of Council.
