A message from our new director!

As our academic year slowly closes to an end, the Creative Communications Committee brings to you the MEMP Newsletter for this semester. It feels great to be a part of the Communications Committee leading a hardworking and talented bunch of MEMers. We are on our way to release the new MEMPDC Website and also the much awaited yearbook, so get excited!

This semester we have had our PDC groups working in full force! Be it the Student Activities Committee with its extensive work into making memorable events for the MEM Program or having the Student Recruiting Committee putting a lot of effort to help new comers into the program for the following year. The SAC events thus far have been very engaging, from the Chinese New year to the Spring Formal! The Duke-UNC Watch Party was a highlight this semester as well. The Finance club has held quite a few events as well having really good turn outs. The Poker tournament was also a grand success.

This edition of the Newsletter has a few MEMories of the different events that have taken place and we also have Femi Sokoya’s interesting article on the simple things we forget to do in our everyday lives! The MEMPC Simulation Competition Winner Joanna Clark also writes a few words on how the experience was beneficial to her as an MEMP Student. We have featured Professor Gregory Hopper who talks about what

his teenage dream was and our

favorite C.J Skender giving us insight

on what motivates him.

So have fun reading this edition of

the Newsletter, MEMers!
