Youth Junior LEGO® Robotics Wild Animals Ages 4 - 8 years LG This class is the perfect mixture of fun and learning, using LEGO WeDo™ Robots. Using LEGO bricks, students build a hungry alligator, a flying bird, a roaring lion, and more. They also learn how to program and operate their creations using a laptop computer. Throughout this course, students will explore different ways in which a robot could be utilized to engage in various battle challenges. Saturday, April 15 10 - 11 am Lions Park All Ages FREE! Junior Space Pioneers with Scratch Programming Ages 4 - 8 years LG Embark on a fun journey to space with Scratch! Send an astronaut to the moon and defend your moon base from space rocks. Learn how to use Scratch to create and program sprites, backdrops and basic scripts. Create a new program each day, leave w ith evidence of your wild space adventure, and be inspired to explore the universe of programming as a Space Pioneer. Location: Community Center Instructor: Engineering for Kids Min/Max: 8/12 CODE DAY DATES 7956 Sa 3/11-4/15 TIME 9:30-10:30 am Apprentice / Master Electronic Game Design - Platform Games Ages 8 - 14 years LG During the Electronic Game Design: Platform classes students will use Multimedia Fusion 2® to create their own video game. A platform game is a side-scrolling, Mariotype game where students program characters and a two-dimensional obstacle course. They attempt to avoid or overcome enemies and reach an end goal on multiple levels. At the end of the class, students take home an electronic copy of the game they create. KidZone Day-Off Activities When there is a day off from school we have a fun day planned! Your child will be safe, supervised, and enjoying a busy day of play on his or her day off from school. Day-Off activities are open to children ages 5 - 12 years who attend District 26 and SS. Peter and Paul schools. Children do not have to be enrolled in the weekly E.T. KidZone before and after school program to participate. Information for these day off activities can be found in the E.T. Bulletin Board section of our website. Space is limited, register early. Registration for these activities will be taken online.
