California Telehealth Network is committed to making quality care available to patients, regardless of their location. CTN lets you provide patients with services and technologies that can change lives by increasing access to quality healthcare throught the CTN network.

CT: What is your mission?

DE: To promote advanced information technologies and services in order to improve access to high quality healthcare focusing on medically underserved and rural Californians.

CT: What is your business model?

DE: In addition to providing consulting services and supplying the recommended hardware necessary for our clients to implement telehealth solutions for their physicians and patients, our model is to manage the documentation and filing necessary to provide our clients with subsidized broadband connections that are dramatically less expensive than what they would be able to access on their own or through any other partner.

CT: What is the biggest impact of California Telehealth Network that people may not know about?

DE: California Telehealth Network (CTN) is the nation’s leading agency connecting people to improve access to high quality, affordable healthcare through the innovative use of technology and broadband services. CTN provides subsidized broadband connections to more than 250 safety net clinics and hospitals in rural and medically underserved communities throughout California. These subsidies generate more than $5 million in annual broadband savings for safety net sites and are expected to triple over the next three years with CTN site growth.

CT: What programs are supported by your revenue?

DE: As an independent non-profit 501c3, CTN has been funded by the California Emerging Technology Fund, the California HealthCare Foundation, the California Teleconnect Fund, the National Coalition for Health Integration, the UnitedHealth Group, and the University of California. As such, revenue is used in part to support our mission. Support is provided to community organizations as available.
