ow possible do you think it is to
have a good day — every day,
all day long? Impossible? Well,
I’m telling you that you have the
power to determine whether your day will
be a good one.
There is a way for people from all walks
of life to help themselves to have a better
day, and a better life, if they choose to. This
way of living is known as “mindful” living.
Mindfulness is about waking up to life and
what it means to be fully human, by taking
notice of yourself and your world around
you. It is about living in the moment and
making an intentional choice to live with
integrity in relation to your own conscience
and the natural world, based on your
fundamental values and core beliefs.
This mindfulness is a practice that must
be lived within our families, workplaces,
neighbourhoods and environment, and it
can be exercised in all spheres of life — like
mindful shopping, mindful eating, mindful
driving and even mindful business.
To be mindful, you have to change the
thoughts you think and the words you
speak. Your internal dialogue — as Wayne
Dyer, motivational speaker and author of
the book Your Erroneous Zones says — has
an enormous impact on your life.
