THE CREATIVE TEAM TREY PARKER: Writer Trey Parker wrote and directed his first feature film, Cannibal! The Musical, while attending the University of Colorado in Boulder. A few years later, Trey co-created the hit animated series “South Park” with Matt Stone (his college friend and Cannibal! producer). Debuting on Comedy Central in 1997 and currently in its 16th Season, “South Park” has won 4 Emmy Awards, as well as the coveted Peabody Award. The same year “South Park” debuted, Parker wrote, directed, and starred in the film Orgazmo. Two years later, Parker and Stone released the critically-acclaimed feature film, South Park: Bigger, Longer, and Uncut. The musical, which Parker directed and co-wrote earned an Oscar nomination for best song (“Blame Canada”) and a NY Film Critics Award. In 2004, the pair returned to theaters with Team America: World Police, an action movie co-written and directed by Parker that starred a cast of marionettes. A long-time dream of Parker’s was to write a musical for Broadway and together with Matt Stone and Bobby Lopez (Avenue Q, Frozen) they created the satirical classic smash hit; The Book of Mormon, which went on to win nine Tony Awards including “Best Musical.” Trey Parker is originally from Evergreen, Colorado. CHRISTOPHER BOND: Director, Co-Writer Christopher Bond is best known as the director, co-creator and co-composer of the hit show, Evil Dead, the Musical. He developed and directed Evil Dead since 2002, including the show’s US debut Off-Broadway (nominated for an Outer Critics Circle Award for Best New Musical) and its return to Canada at the Diesel Playhouse (Winner of the 2007 Dora Mavor Moore Audience Choice Award) which also received a Dora nomination for Outstanding Direction of a Musical. Evil Dead, the Musical is now playing all over the world including productions 12 in Korea, Japan, Spain and touring across the US with Starvox Entertainment. In 2013, Christopher worked with George A. Romero, where he co-wrote and directed the official stage adaptation of Night of the Living Dead... Live! Christopher’s writing and composition credits for the big and small screen, with co-writer Trevor Martin include A Little Bit Zombie, (Best Feature award at the 2013 Canadian Film Festival , Best Feature Fantaspoa Brazil, Canadian Comedy Award for Best Screenplay and currently being distributed by Anchor Bay Entertainment), PatchTown, (Best Feature at the 2014 Canadian Film Festival and distributed by Kino Lorber) and Acting Up ( upcoming original musical series created for the Corus network). Christopher is pumped to finally bring this reimagining of Cannibal! The Musical to the masses!
