Sonor Vintage Series Drums with Black Slate Finish Sonor has added the Black Slate finish to its Vintage Series drums. Like the original Teardrop drums, Sonor’s Vintage Series, introduced in 2015, feature hand-selected premium German beech shells with rounded bearing edges. The manufacturer has recreated the look and feel of the 1950s teardrop lug and updated it with Sonor´s Tunesafe system. The company redesigned the Superprofil triple-flanged hoops and brought back the Sonor badge and logo used from 1952 to 1961. The hoop is an authentic remake of the hoop used on all tom toms, floor toms, and snare drums built by Sonor until the 1970s. Vintage Series snare drums feature the Super 50 throw off, a redesigned strainer that is inspired by the throw off used on the Sonor D-411 and D-412 snares in the 1950s. BOSS ACS Pro Acoustic Stage Amplifier BOSS has released the ACS Pro acoustic stage amp. With the 120-W ACS Pro, independent channels are provided for acoustic guitar and vocal, and each is equipped with discrete analog input circuits and three-band EQ. A dedicated guitar channel with Acoustic Resonance restores natural tone to stage guitars with piezo pickups. Other features include looping, automatic vocal harmonies, and effects. The microphone channel has phantom power and a 1/4-in./XLR combo input for connecting a vocal/guitar microphone or second instru- ment source. There is also a chorus effect on the guitar channel, delay/echo effect on the mic channel, and independent reverb on both channels. The Harmony function automatically creates vocal harmonies via real-time key/chord analysis of the guitar input.
