Yamaha has introduced the latest addition to its line of Silent instruments with the SLG200NW Silent Guitar . The SLG200NW updates the SLG130NW , featuring traditional classical neck construction that facilitates an authentic playing experience .
Like its predecessor , the SLG200NW ’ s bodiless design creates an acoustic sound that is 90 per cent quieter than a conventional classical guitar . This makes it ideal for quiet practice , whether listening through the included stereo earphones connected to its onboard preamp or using the unamplified sound in the room .
The SLG200NW builds on that with a proprietary SRT Powered pickup and microphone modeling system , featuring onboard reverb and chorus . SRT Powered is a new system designed to recreate the body resonance , natural sustain , and decay of Yamaha ’ s high-end acoustic guitars in a bodiless guitar . EarthQuaker Space Spiral Modulated Delay Device
EarthQuaker Devices has released the Space Spiral Modulated Delay , an analog-voiced digital delay with 30-600 ms of delay time and a variable waveshape LFO affecting the repeated signal .
The Space Spiral ’ s LFO , which modulates the repeats of the delay line , is variable from a “ soothing triangle shape ” to a “ choppy square shape .” Users can experiment with the LFO ’ s Depth and Rate controls to create unique polyrhythmic modulated delay textures . Other features include silent soft-touch switching and an all-analog dry signal path and all-digital wet signal path .
