Kanstul has reintroduced the Committee Trumpet . Based on its original design , the company is now handcrafting a re-issue of this professional trumpet as the Model 1603 . The Model 1603 adheres to the classic # 3 bore specs and is built in the U . S .
Kanstul ’ s design is based on the historic Martin Committee trumpet , the best examples of which were manufactured between 1939 and 1955 . The features include a # 3 (. 470-in .) large bore , distinctive water keys , finger hook , and third slide ring . The leadpipe , receiver , and bell shape are borrowed from the original . Like the Martin , the Model 1603 has no first slide saddle and plays well in tune as is .
