Can you tell us about the process so far ? The infrastructure is made up of multiple parts from networking to servers to the software platform . We spent approximately two years engaging with market leaders in these areas finding what they do , what they could do differently and how they would help the college achieve its strategic targets .
These engagements brought us to a position where we built a proof of concept design and implemented it . We then offered staff and students the opportunity to have a look , try it out and feedback . Comments were really positive and it gave us the confidence we had chosen the correct platform .
Did you encounter any problems ? How did you resolve these ? So far everything is progressing well . We are in the middle of the project and the challenging stages are still to come . We are delighted with the partners we have chosen who are the experts in their fields .
What ’ s next ? We aim to roll out this software to all campuses and once we embrace the technology the teaching opportunities will be endless . With this significant investment , the college is making a real statement of intent for supporting the student experience with cutting edge , sector leading infrastructure .
