CONNECTIONS MENTORSHIP PROGRAM EXTERNSHIP PROGRAM
Student protégés are paired with practicing legal professionals and exposed to valuable learning opportunities and experiences . The program is a joint endeavor between Campbell Law and the Wake County Bar Association .
Connections won a 2016 Gambrell Award — one of the American Bar Association ’ s highest honors — for its excellence and innovation .
Students earn course credit and gain experience participating and observing in the everyday practice of law alongside a licensed attorney for academic credit .
85 % of recent graduates completed one or more externships with corporate , government , non-profit and pro bono private practice employers .
PRO BONO SERVICE
Students have 12 options to partner with community agencies , legal aid offices , alumni and private attorneys to make a difference in the local community . Projects include but are not limited to issues regarding actual innocence , teen court , domestic violence , naturalization , veterans , income tax assistance , wills and advance directives , reentry and service animals .
