If the individual is accepted into CORP, their low-level misdemeanors and infractions are dismissed as well as suspension of fines and fees already owed for convicted cases. The benefit of CORP varies per individual. In some cases, removing the financial burden of fines they would under normal circumstances not have the ability to pay allows them to become eligible for public assistance or obtaining their driver’s license. But more importantly is the added emotional benefit of having the
