Attorney General Kamala Harris emphasized collaboration in response to the
governor’s realignment efforts at the 6th annual Women Leaders in Law Enforcement
symposium. Nearly 600 people registered for the event, which featured an inspiring
keynote address by Iraq war veteran and para-triathlete Melissa Stockwell, a gold
medalist in the 2010 Para-triathlon World Championships. Another highlight: Los
Gatos/Monte Sereno Capt. Alana Forest was named the California Police Officers
Association inaugural Trail Blazer of the Year.
