Making the Outhouse Door
Step 74:
Measure the top and bottom. Divide each
measurement by 6. The top measurement will be
slightly larger than the bottom.
Step 75:
Using the small guides roll
out 6 panes of fondant,
cutting them long enough
to hang over the back
areas. Let firm for a few
minutes
Step 77:
Add texture and lines to
replicate wood. Create
knots. Work with the cuts
you have made.
Step 79:
Add panels working from the inside out.
Step 78:
Find the middle and mark
the ganache.
Step 76:
Cut top and bottom
panels in a random
pattern. Be careful not to
cut too much away as to
expose the ganache.
Side Panels
Step 80:
Using piping tip 2, create nail marks in all the wooden
panels.
Step 81:
Roll out fondant using
thick guides
Step 82:
Adjust ribbon cutter to
2cm. Cut side panels
slightly longer than the
cake to create overhang.
