Using a dome shaped template start this trim your cake.
inch round
Use the template as a guide to what the shape should be
You will need:
• Styro cone
• 16mm Centre dowel made
from oak
• 8” round cake board with
hole pre drilled in centre
• Prep board for ganaching
your cake
• Base board. 16mm MDF
• 1 x 8 inch round mud cake
• 1 x 7 inch round mud cake
• Ganache
Step 3:
Keep trimming until you
are left with a nice even
dome shape
Step 4:
Ganache you cake until you have a nice smooth dome
shape.
Use you Clear Cake Scrapers to scrape off your
excess ganache
I often use my hand to ganache shaped cakes so get
your hands dirty
Leave to set for 24 hours
Step 5:
Prepare your base board
by drilling a hole just
larger than your centre
dowel and where you want
your cake to sit
This is where we will glue
your centre dowel
Using a glue gun, glue a
board over this hole
