Dad's tie cookies

1. Create your favourite cookie
recipe whether it be a sugar cookie
or vanilla biscuit recipe. Vanilla biscuits have been used.
You will need:
4. TIP – Before placing the
dough in the fridge to firm, roll your
dough to about 6mm in between
2 pieces of baking paper, ready to
cut your shapes when firm.
• Cookie dough
• Scissors
• Tie and 'Dad' shapped
cookie cutter (available from
CutterCraft)
• Toothpicks
• Royal icing
• Rolling pin
• Food colour gel pastes
• Fondant
• Gladwrap
• Baking paper
• Piping bags fitted with couplers
and tips (#2 and #3)
2. Combine your ingredients
until a cookie dough is formed.
5. Line your tray with baking paper, and begin cutting your favourite shapes. TIP – Before placing
your cookies into the oven, place
them in the freezer for 10-20 mins.
This will prevent your cookie
spreading in the oven.
3. Lightly knead your dough
and separate into workable
amounts before placing in the
fridge for 20 minutes.
6. Bake in your preheated oven
until cooked through. Leave on
your baking tray for a few minutes
to cool slightly.
