LEMONADE DAY TEACHES
ENTREPRENEURSHIP
TO COASTAL BEND YOUTH
T
he mission of the United Corpus Christi Chamber of Com-
merce Foundation is to develop leaders and entrepreneurs
to make a positive impact in Corpus Christi. Lemonade Day
perfectly aligns with that mission; and targets a younger crowd
than the typical programs of the Chamber.
The fifth annual Lemonade Day Coastal Bend, presented by
Kleberg Bank, is set to take place on Saturday, May 13, 2017.
Lemonade Day teaches youth to start, own, and operate their
very own business through the unique, real-world experience of
running a lemonade stand. The program is designed to teach
kids, ages 5-18 years, about entrepreneurship, financial literacy
and the importance of giving back.
Over 2,000 youth are expected to participate in this years
event. All registered youth receive free backpacks that include
educational workbooks and materials for youth to prepare for
Lemonade Day. This would not be possible without the gener-
ous support of local businesses.
