teaching fellows...
…are outstanding college students and high-school seniors.
This paid summer internship is a Princeton Review Top 10
service learning experience, with excellent professional
educators providing instructional coaching. This year, our
highly diverse group of 95 Fellows came from all over –
colleges like Emory, Macalester, University of Alabama,
University of Miami and FIU – and from top local high
schools. Teaching Fellows are more than three times as
likely as the average applicant to be accepted into the
nation’s top teacher training academies, including Teach
for America, Boston Teacher Residency, and Uncommon
Schools. Seventy-five percent choose careers in the field
of education.
Tywan, who lives in Liberty
City, maintains superior
grades in his Honors and
AP courses. An active
Breakthrough volunteer,
he attributes his success
in and out of class to the
program. “My mom is
really happy with me.”
