This paid summer internship is a Princeton Review Top 10 service learning experience, with excellent professional educators providing instructional coaching.  This year, our highly diverse group of 95 Fellows came from all over – colleges like Emory, Macalester, University of Alabama, University of Miami and FIU – and from top local high schools.  Teaching Fellows are more than three times as likely as the average applicant to be accepted into the nation’s top teacher training academies, including  Teach for America, Boston Teacher Residency, and Uncommon Schools. Seventy-five percent choose careers in the field of education.  Tywan, who lives in Liberty City, maintains superior grades in his Honors and AP courses.  An active Breakthrough volunteer, he attributes his success in and out of class to the program.  “My mom is really happy with me.”   scholar spotlight Rebecca Rauch-Thane Young Women’s Preparatory Academy | Sophomore | Class of 2016 Rebecca is a writer, athlete, artist and environmental advocate who  has been featured on CNN’s Notimujer segment.  She won the Istanbul Center’s Art & Essay Contest with a piece titled “The Human Footprint: Impact and Solutions,” an had an essay, “Water Research by a 12-Year-Old” published by the International Child Art Foundation.
