Sharing God’s Bounty
Gary Gulledge knows that the first step
in wiping out global hunger is feeding his
neighbors. That’s why, for the past eight
years, this department coordinator has
organized a food drive at Baylor Scott &
White Medical Center – White Rock.
“Hunger is an issue everywhere,” Gary says.
“So I try to think globally and act locally. We
are one of the richest countries in the world,
yet we still have too many people going to
bed hungry.”
The annual food drive collects, on average,
400 pounds of non-perishables. It goes to the
White Rock Center of Hope, a coalition that
annually provides emergency aid to 21,000
people, including many families with children.
