about this charge. Rev. Dr. James Forbes Jr., whom Newsweek magazine recognized as one of the 12 “most effective preachers,” is preaching in churches and
leading homiletics workshops for those who speak from the pulpit. Rev. Forbes
is senior minister emeritus of The Riverside Church and retired professor of
preaching at Union Theological Seminary in New York City.
