Christine Morton is an active participant in her small community of West Vancouver. This way of life has had
considerable influence on her business style. The entire design and manufacturing process of her collection is
made in Canada. It is all made locally in order to assure responsibility in manufacturing and couture quality in
craftsmanship.
It is with the support of employees such as Alina Chang that Christine Lingerie has been able to maintain this
domestic production model. Alina came to Vancouver as an immigrant from Laos in 1979 and began working with
Christine. Over the years Alina’s husband, mother, grandmother, sisters, and sister in-law, have worked for
Christine and have all been part of the Christine Lingerie family. 36 years later, Alina is still committed to
the quality and success of the company, in her role as Production Manager. Today, Christine is sponsoring
seamstresses from overseas in order to maintain that vision.
This local and “hands-on” approach to business is unique, and offers a personal touch in today’s fashion industry;
likewise, it is this philosophy that has been directly translated into each and every beautiful piece of lingerie.
