OUR STORY
Christine was born in Glasgow, Scotland. Her family later immigrated to Canada and settled in West
Vancouver, BC. It was at this time, that she became fascinated with the beauty of silk and the texture of antique
lace. This fascination turned to inspiration and ultimately led to the success of her business venture, Christine
Designs Ltd.
Now celebrating over 40 years in business, Christine maintains her dedication to detail and promise to the quality
workmanship that has become synonymous with her name. Her passion for exquisite lace and luxurious silk is
still her main source of design inspiration. She works closely with many of the world's oldest manufacturers to
reproduce antique laces and select signature prints for her silk collection.
Christine has been honoured with awards attesting to her unrivaled achievements. She was a recipient of the
Fashion Export Awards in 2005 and 2006 and was recognized multiple times by the Matinee Fashion Awards
in Canada from 1997 to 2002.
Christine’s lingerie is carried in high-end boutiques and luxury department stores. Customers from around the
globe and celebrities such as Oprah, Catherine Zeta Jones, Gwyneth Paltrow, Diana Krall, Christina Hendricks
and Katie Holmes continue to collect her unique and beautiful garments.
Today Christine’s ability to stop and look for beauty continues to remain a simple yet profound thing. To slow
down, to simplify, a way of training the eye to see what is often overlooked has a powerful way of adding
richness to everyday life.
