Overview of workshops ‘Creating our culture’ is about translating our CARE values into the tangible behaviours we want to see from each other, and to inspire us to keep improving our patient and staff experience. For a week we will be holding 17 workshops at both Tauranga and Whakatāne for staff, our leaders, our patients and their families and whānau. • ‘In Leaders’ Shoes'. Transformational and practical 2-hour workshops for all our leaders and managers in both clinical roles, support services and corporate roles. We have planned these with plenty of time to reschedule clinical and other commitments, so over 350 leaders can tell us about the support you need for values-based leadership. Titled the BIG LISTEN the week begins on Monday 28 November, ending on Friday 2 December. You can book online through OnePlace to ensure you get to attend the session that best suits you. Please encourage your colleagues and teams to attend the workshops and complete the survey. There are three kinds of sessions and several of each type at different times of the day. As you read through these pages, you will find out how you can get involved to ‘Create our culture’. • • ‘In Your Shoes’ for patients to talk to staff 1:1 about their experiences in our care. Up to 50 members of staff can spend 2 hours just listening to patients in these workshops. We need everyone to get involved now. Understanding patient and whānau experience An opportunity for staff to listen to patients and whānau share their experiences of our care, and to identify together the behaviours and improvement priorities that will make the biggest difference to patients and whānau going forward.
