What do you want to hear from the CEO
and the Exec Team, and
in what format? Your
opinion is wanted.
In May we held a Staff Engagement and
Culture Workshop and communications was
very much on everyone’s minds as discussions
ranged about how to make our good
organisation, great.
Following the format of May’s workshop we are looking for
volunteers to attend the focus groups who represent a vertical
slice of the organisation. For those unfamiliar with this concept it’s
getting a mix of people who are representative of the organisation,
not only by profession and role, but also gender and age. So if
necessary we may need to target volunteers from specific parts of
the organisation to ensure this mix.
As the saying goes “if you want to change - look to your people”,
and part of our formal communication is the Staff Forum which has
been attended by less staff in more recent times.
The discussion will have to start with; does the Staff Forum
continue, or not? If the Staff Forum continues, does it continue in
the same format or not?
We want you to think about what you want to hear from the CEO
and the Exec Team, and in what format? In other words we want
you to decide the future of the Staff Forum.
It is anticipated that there may be several ideas/formats and
content suggestions on what and how, you want the CEO and
Exec Team to engage with you.
To gather your ideas we are holding two focus group meetings in:
•
Tauranga: Wednesday 27 July, 12.30pm – 2.00pm in the
Tauranga Conference Centre
So, if you’re keen to be part of deciding the future of the Staff
Forum – to be or not to be, how and content, please email gail.
[email protected] to register your interest by 12 noon
Wednesday 20 July.
•
Whakatāne: Friday 29 July, 12.30pm – 2.00pm in the
Whakatāne Clinical School Meeting Room 1
Deciding the future of the Staff Forum is one small agenda item in
the communications stream.
Service Improvement Unit’s Fiona Burns will facilitate the sessions
which will make recommendations to come back to staff through
the August Staff Forum.
