The IHI Model for Improvement is a simple, yet scientific approach to improving healthcare. It can empower and support all of us to improve
the way we work and the care we provide, not only within departments or organisations but across the Bay of Plenty health system.

The IHI’s Model for Improvement has been adopted as part of many national and international programmes including those delivered by
the Health Quality Safety Commission (HQSC) and the Ministry of Health (MoH) creating a common language for improvement amongst
healthcare professionals locally, regionally and nationally.
