The Lab will be staffed by an experienced team of nurses, MRT's and Physiologists and includes a pre and post procedure area. Patients will no longer go through the Medical Day Stay Unit. Cardiac patients are set to benefit from a new Cardiac Catheter Lab due to open January 16th. BOPDHB currently performs more than 650 diagnostic Cardiac Catheters, 230 Percutaneous Coronary Interventions PCI (interventional stents) and 220 Implantable devices (Pacemakers, ICD's) each year.
