Christmas Message from the Chief Executive It's hard to believe that it's December already. The year has flown. I want to take this opportunity to say a heartfelt thank you to all of you, for your hard work this year, and for the difference you make to the lives of our community. It's been a very busy year. At the same time as continuing to deliver the services our patients and families need, our teams have improved performance, undertaken new initiatives, continued learning and researching. Both doing our jobs and improving our jobs. Most of you will be working over the holiday period. Thank you for your dedication to ensuring that our services are available. This means that some may miss out on some family celebrations. Your hard work and commitment is Charlie Stratton has recently joined the Bay of Plenty Clinical Trials Unit. In his role as Clinical Research Development Manager Charlie will be responsible for development of original research projects within the Bay of Plenty DHB as well as Sponsor funded research. Charlie is fortunate to be joining an experienced research team of dedicated research professionals who coordinate trials with the Bay of Plenty DHB's extensive pool of clinical specialists (Tauranga and Whakatāne). acknowledged and very much appreciated. Recently relocating from Sydney to Tauranga with his family, Charlie studied Biomedical Science at University and has since held various positions in Clinical Research and Health Economics, Helen mainly in the private sector. Outside of work Charlie likes to spend time with his family and is looking forward to bringing up his two daughters in Bay of Plenty region. He’s also a water lover and is a keen surfer.
