¡ Hola ! Exercise the creative half of your brain as well as the half that controls language learning . Make connections between some of the things we find during our adventures and the Spanish terms for them through songs , stories , and fun outdoor activities .
PM : Slimy Skins & Scales
Hop like frogs , croak like toads , crawl like turtles and slither like snakes ! Set off on an adventure armed with nets , containers , and curiosity to find these slimy and scaly friends . Campers will also have a chance to meet and care for some of the residential reptiles that call Blandford their home .
Wildlife Helpers
Michigan is home to a wonderous variety of wildlife that need your help ! Campers will create special items to help the wildlife in your backyard , work on projects to protect habitat diversity , and go behind the scenes in our wildlife care center to prepare food and enrichment items for our permanent residents .
VanGoats
Bring out the natural artist in your child with this week-long farm camp ! Famous works of art ( copies not the originals ), nature explorations , and each camper ’ s farm experience will be translated into their own artistic creations . Collaboratively , campers will work throughout the week to create and execute a mural design that will become a permanent farm installation . The week culminates with a “ Farm Art Exhibit .”
Wilderness Leaders
Develop skills as a leader in the outdoors during a week of adventure ! From building a survival shelter and campfire for cooking , to planning a trip and finding our way with compass and map , campers will leave with a new sense of outdoor preparedness . We will take our skills off-site on Friday for a special day of adventure .

MONDAY - NATURE ' S SUPERHEROES : The animals around us have some pretty spectacular powers . Examine these gifts and design your own nature superhero character , complete with a secret identity and super powers .
TUESDAY -- OUTDOOR ADVENTURES : Take a walk on the adventurous side while exploring the wildest areas of Blandford . We will practice how to NOT to get lost and how to stay safe when on an adventure .
WEDNESDAY -- GO BUGGY : Discover the crawling , flying , and hopping bugs that call Blandford home . Campers will have a chance to use investigation tools to get an up close look at these little creatures as we explore different habitats from the forest to the meadow .
THURSDAY -- SUMMER GAMES : Celebrate the best of summer and the best of Blandford with our favorite camp games and adventures . Maybe you will work together as a team of crows trying to steal the egg from the eagle ’ s nest or perhaps you ’ ll pretend to be prey animals running through the forest from predators .
FRIDAY -- SEARCHIN ' FOR SASQUATCH : Do you know how to find the most elusive creatures in the forest ? Seek out a squatch by looking for their unique habitat : find evidence of food , water sources , and safe shelter .
