Behavior at Athletic Events
The District expects that all students , parents / guardians , family members and friends who attend athletic events behave in a respectful and courteous manner . The District reserves the right to ban the presence of any individual from an athletic event who : ( 1 ) engages in verbal or physical threats or abuse aimed at any student , coach , official or parent / guardian at an athletic event ; or ( 2 ) who initiates a fight or scuffle with any student , coach , official , parent / guardian or other person at an athletic event .
School Bus Safety – Student Responsibilities While on the bus :
� Seat belts must be worn at all times . � Go right to a seat and stay there . � Keep arms or other parts of your body inside the bus at all times after entering the bus and until you leave the bus . � Assist in keeping the bus safe and clean at all times . � Obey the driver and teachers . They have a large responsibility and need your cooperation .
� Loud talking , laughter or undue confusion tends to divert the driver ’ s attention . Remember , your life depends on the driver watching the road . Classroom conduct is expected , except for conversation in normal tones . � Do not talk to the driver while the bus is in motion . � Do not leave your seat while the bus is in motion . � Treat the bus equipment as you would your own valuable furniture at home .
Damage to seats , etc ., must be paid for by the offender . � In case of a road emergency , stay in your seat and await instructions . � Keep your belongings out of the aisle . � Be courteous and responsible at all times . � Do not open or close windows without the permission of the driver or teacher . � Never throw articles from the bus windows . � Obey the teachers , bus driver and other staff members on your bus . � No wrestling , striking , shoving or fighting of any kind will be permitted while on the bus . � No smoking is permitted . � Absolute quiet is needed when approaching a railroad crossing . � No eating or drinking of any kind while on the bus .
NOTE : If any of the above safety rules are violated , the school principal or designate has the authority to remove your transportation privilege for a given amount of time .
Bicycle , Bus and Car Safety - Board Policy
The Board regards the use of bicycles and motorized vehicles for travel to and from school by students as an assumption of responsibility on the part of those students .
