highly equipped to provide knowledge to the young people of America usually don’t
become teachers. They would rather be able to support their family with a six-figure
salary. This makes sense; you want to get a job that will pay off your student debt and
provide you with a comfortable lifestyle. But this leaves us with many teachers in
schools who aren’t as qualified as they should be, leaving our children under-educated.
It all depends on the school. There are definitely teachers out there like my father
who care enough about education and the people of the future to give up the rich
lifestyle they could have if they became a lawyer instead. We need these smart,
passionate people to educate young people properly. They have proven they will do the
job even if the salary never changes, but that doesn’t justify taking advantage of their
dedication. Education shouldn’t be tied so closely with money, for it is crucial to
everyone’s success. If you are lower class, it’s almost guaranteed you will receive a lesser
education than someone who has lots of money, and that is not how it should be.
Education should be made a priority in this country, because it’s exactly what we need.
Education is the key to success. Teachers provide the future (children and young
adults) with knowledge; and if they are underpaid, which they are, it’s practically
guaranteed that the future isn’t being educated to its full potential, thus creating a void
in what could be. Teachers are so very important to our future and our world, but they
aren’t paid salaries that reflect the investment they make in our country’s future. If
being a teacher paid better, higher success levels would be reached by almost everyone.
Teacher salary needs to be raised and education needs to be a bigger priority in this
country.
Education: A Dying Art

The idea of a perfect educator seems to be more and more foreign to us today.
Our news feeds are filled with videos of teachers yelling at students, memes about the
ineffectiveness of education in schools, and rants from students who disagree with a
teacher’s methods. At a glance one might
think the age of teaching as a respected
profession is dead and gone. However, I
think there’s no shortage of good
teachers in the world. In fact, there are
too many good teachers.
Now, don’t get me wrong, there is
nothing bad about having lots of good
teachers. A good teacher can be
