released a “unity” cup. The green cup was supposed to encourage unity and remind
Americans of our shared values in a divisive time. Apparently the effort at unity
backfired. “My coffee should not (and does not) come with political brainwashing. I
dropped Starbucks like a hot rock,” complained one customer on Twitter.
Now customers are again revolting in a new controversy they like to call the
“Trump-cup.” Trump supporters are pressuring Starbucks baristas to write the name
“Trump” on their cup -- in such numbers that nobody can tell whose coffee is whose.
Baristas who resist are caught in a culture war. Bear in mind that writing customers’
names on cups is not a company policy or a First-Amendment right, but a matter of
convenience so that you don’t get somebody else’s drink.
Please remember that Starbuck’s is only a coffee shop and your baristas are doing
their best at their job. They are in it to make a buck and pay the rent, not to influence
your religious or political choices (or, for that matter, to hear about them!). We are in no
way trying to make your life more difficult during the winter season, so please give a
smile and a tip to your friendly neighborhood barista.

Leaked Emails Reveal that Hillary Clinton Spoiled
The Walking Dead for 50,000 Trump Supporters
satire by Ben Neufeld
On October 25, 2016, just after the season seven premiere of the hit TV series The
Walking Dead, there was some social media buzz coming from Trump supporters about
how presidential candidate Hillary Clinton had spoiled the first episode of The Walking
Dead for them before they had gotten the chance to see it. Many ignored these claims, or
described them as desperate attempts to bash the Democratic presidential candidate.
Some Twitter users even mocked Trump supporters for making what they called
ridiculous assertions.
However, on Thursday morning, October 27, 2016, a cache of emails sent by
Hillary Clinton was uploaded to a server on Wikileaks. The emails were addressed to
50,000 individuals who had worked to support the Trump campaign.
They all contained this single message sent 50,000 times to the Trump
supporters.
“Glenn dies in The Walking Dead lol.”
