A. Tumble! It will save you alot of filing work. You will use your
tumbler a lot if you do any work with metal. It also helps to workharden wire so that your ear wires will be stiffer (not require as much
hammering). Makes everything nice and shiny and really smooth. I use
the basic Lortone 3A and it has never failed me. Karen Totten
A. I use a nail file you can buy at Target has 2 grit sides and cheap. I
think with 20 gauge copper earring wires might need tumbling, I haven't
had to tumble my 18 gauge ones though.

A. I got a cheap tumbler at Harbor Freight and it does just fine. I
tumble my copper Headpins that I make with ball ends. But I just file
my brass ones. Heidi Post
A. Cheap cup burr to file the ends round. Can't remember where I got
it but Rio Grande has some good options. Stacy Frost
A. I did not read all the posts but my two cents is take a butane torch
and heat the ends of the ear wires to melt the burrs. Just stop before
the ends ball up. Amy Renee Cornelius
