LOST AND FOUND
There will be a ‘ Lost and Found ’ box located at the IC Welcome Center in the main hotel lobby . All lost items will immediately be brought there . If it ’ s not there , your missing item has not yet been turned in .
NAME TAGS AND ROOM KEYS
All participants must wear their name tags at all times for security purposes . If you do not have your name tag around your neck , you will be asked to go back to your room to retrieve it . Please do not switch name tags . With nearly 5,000 guests , it is important that we are able to keep track of everyone . If you misplace your room key , or if it doesn ’ t work , please go to the IC Welcome Center during chofesh , free time , or evening dismissal to replace the key .
Please Note : The hotel keys are magnetic . Keep at a distance from your cell phones .
EMBRACING INCLUSIVITY AT IC 2017
BBYO is proud to offer safe and welcoming opportunities for learning and growth to all Jewish teens regardless of background , denominational affiliation , gender , sexual orientation and socio-economic status , including those with a range of intellectual , emotional and physical disabilities . This year at IC , we continue to make every effort to accommodate guests with physical and cognitive disabilities throughout the event . We will also have fidgets accessible at every program for participants who may have a harder time focusing on speaker ( s ), and teens will now have access to resources of conversation starters and icebreakers to streamline the process of meeting new people . We welcome all our guests to Dallas for our movement ’ s biggest moment of the year !
NEED ASSISTANCE ?
Staff will be wearing navy blue vests throughout IC . Volunteers will be wearing orange vests . Please connect with any of these adults should you need assistance . You can always receive assistance by going to the IC Welcome Center .
CELEBRATING PLURALISM AT IC 2017
BBYO strives to create an environment where all Jewish teens can explore and cultivate their Jewish identity . One of the ways we promote this growth is through encountering new traditions , beliefs and practices and interacting with others from different backgrounds and perspectives . During Shabbat ( from 5:30 PM on Friday through Havdalah at 7:45 PM on Saturday ), all public spaces will be Shomer Shabbat . We encourage all participants , staff , volunteers and guests to put away their electronics during Shabbat , and to be as fully present with the IC 2017 community as possible .
