It ’ s more than a bit surprising that after such a long and winding road , a young surgeon would decide to put herself in harm ’ s way , aiding crisis victims around the globe . Dr . Tali Shaltiel will share her story and experiences as a medical relief doctor , from facilitating medical workshops in rural South Sudan to taking part in establishing medical aid for Syrian refugees landing on the shores of the island Lesvos , Greece , treating aching bodies and meeting tired souls who are fleeing war on their journey for a new home .
