SUMMIT – DAVID BROOKS: ENGAGING TEENS THROUGH CHARACTER AND VALUES, HOLIDAY BALLROOM 6 3:30 PM In today’s hyper-connected, consumer-driven culture, what virtues do we still hold sacred? How do we create “mensches” in this complex, modern world? Brooks will explore these questions through a 30-minute interview pulling from some of the relevant themes in his new book, On Character. He will then turn the tables and engage with teens to explore the shift over generations as we move away from a culture of humility to competing for attention, feedback, likes and friends.
