Stand UP: Veterans Affairs and Civil Service, Johns Hopkins University ROTC

Soldiers embrace the values of loyalty, respect, selfless service, honor and courage as they train
to be exemplary citizens and proud patriots. Our cherished Orders of AZA and BBG are built upon
much of the same principles of citizenship, patriotism and service to the world around us. In this
track, meet with men and women currently serving in the United States Armed Forces (many of
whom were motivated by Jewish values to serve) to hear their stories, engage in drills and training
activities and learn how to support veterans who are acclimating in your local communities after a
long time away from home. Their commitment to duty is an inspiring lesson in public service and
personal sacrifice. You are invited to spend some time with those working to keep the world safe
and at peace. Spend the day learning beside real life heroes.

Upon returning from your BBYO Leadership Lab, you can go back to your rooms to relax, shower
and change for Kabbalat Shabbat. Now is a great time to visit AZA BBG Voice Your Vote, the BBYO
Center Stage, the IC Shuk, the IC Town Square, the Jewish Learning Lab and the Music Studio!
Don’t forget to come dressed for Shabbat and leave time for pictures!
