Red-Letter Dates Certain dates on the calendar hold special significance for BBG. Chapters and regions are encouraged to hold programs incorporating these themes. November – Senior Appreciation Month / Chapters and regions honor the activity of their oldest members, thanking them for their leadership and participation. November – AZA and BBG Global Shabbat / This ritual is an opportunity to share the holiness of Shabbat with our brothers and sisters. The tradition dates back to  and is considered among the most sacred in the Order. March – Advisor Appreciation Month / Chapters and regions honor the work and dedication of their advisors, who have volunteered their time and commitment for the betterment of the organization. April – BBG Founders’ Day / April nd marks  Founders’ Day. This was the date the B’nai B’rith Girls convened for the very first time. Chapters, councils and regions throw  birthday parties or hold Friends and Alumni Network () programs to celebrate our history. 47
