J-Serve J-Serve is the International Day of Jewish Youth Service, and the Jewish service component of the annual Global Youth Service Day. J-Serve typically falls in April, in conjunction with Earth Day. Each year, thousands of Jewish teens from around the world come together to make a difference and encourage community building across religious and societal lines through collaborative teen-led communal partnerships. Launched in , JServe provides teens with the opportunity to fulfill the Jewish values of gemilut chasidim, acts of loving kindness; tzedakah, just and charitable giving; and tikkun olam, the responsibility to repair the world. March of the Living The March of the Living is an annual pilgrimage for thousands of Jewish teens from across the world. The two-week journey marks the tragedy of the Holocaust in Poland followed by a celebration of the modern state of Israel in the Jewish homeland. The goal of “The March” is to educate Jewish teens about the richness of our past, to keep the past alive and to perpetuate our Jewish future. 43
