Barnes 338 Lapua Mil/LE Ammunition is Precision Loaded, not mass
produced.
Assembled using the finest components available, including a .338
caliber 300gr. lead core, high BC OTM bullet for SOCOM (see award
info below). Each and every round is hand inspected and gauged for
quality and consistency.
Manufacturing tolerances are held to exacting standards which result
in low standard deviations and extreme variations. The carefullyselected propellant produces stable and consistent velocity and
pressure even at extreme temperatures to ensure first round hits.
After exhaustive testing, the United States Special Operations Command (SOCOM)
awarded the Precision Sniper Rifle (PSR) contract to a team submission from
Freedom Group companies Remington Defense, Advanced Armament Corp., and
Barnes Bullets.
Barnes is proud to provide 4.6 million rounds of our precision-loaded ammunition
as part of the contract.
