In Photo 4 I’ve drilled a couple of holes and rough cut the slot. On each side of the slot I’ve taped in place
strips of ply for the router to run along – it is critical they are the same thickness each side – and the same
distance away from the centre line. Using a straight bearing guided bit the router will follow the case sides
cutting out a lovely neat slot.
