ITM 243 Gastronomy of the World (3 credits) A study about the history of various national foods, foods for special occasions, the food culture of different countries and the uniqueness of each national food. This course includes field trips. ITM 244 Digital Photography for Tourism Promotion (3 credits) Prerequisite: IIT 201 This course provides the theories and techniques of digital photography to be used as a promotional tool in the hotel and tourism business such as menu, brochure, and website design. The study wil be in the computer lab along with field trips. ITM 245 Travel Writing (3 credits) This course provides techniques and various styles of writing to share travel experiences and knowledge in various aspects such as culture, tourist destinations, livelihoods, foods, festivals. Students have a chance to practice travel writing based on their interest. ITM 246 Selling and Negotiating Skills (3 credits) A study of the roles and responsibilities of the salesperson including working process, systemic and effective selling techniques, customer management strategies in order to maximize the customer satisfaction. ITM 247 Introduction to Wine Appreciation (3 credits) This course aims to provide the knowledge about the history, origin and types of wines including the production process, storing, label reading and wine selection. Students also learn how to pair the food with appropriate wine, wine tasting, wine opening and serving, and wine and health issues. This course includes field trips. ITM 248 Customer Handling Skills (3 credits) This course aims for students to understand the role and importance of customers in the hotel and tourism business including service theories, customer satisfaction through service and complaint handling. ITM 249 Health and Wellness Tourism (3 credits) A study of meaning, types, and principles of integrating tourism in the health and wellness business in various forms such as hospitals, spas, resorts, and aesthetic clinics along with tourism management strategies specially for health and wellness. This course includes field trips. ITM 250 Thai Society and Culture (3 credits) A study of the Thai social structure, religions, beliefs, cultures, festivals, local wisdoms, livelihoods, arts, family, and food through lectures and field trips.
